Pipeline Operator (OK)

Position Summary

Provide full-time Operator functions for compressor and pipeline facilities

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of natural gas/liquids compression, dehydration and processing operations
  • Able to perform duties with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or more
  • Able to speak fluent English and have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
  • Must allow pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operation of assets
  • Starting up, shutting down and monitoring facility equipment
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of pipeline pigging systems
  • Troubleshooting problems with all company assets and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant/required regulations/programs both internally and externally
  • Day to day liaison with internal and external customers
  • Performs housekeeping of all facilities to maintain cleanliness and general appearance to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Complete and maintain proper records
  • Ensuring the reliable operation of all equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, repairs and maintaining appropriate equipment inventories
  • Natural gas gathering and processing is an “around the clock” operation and incumbents are required to be reasonably available to respond to emergency and other operational needs whenever they occur
  • Must be available for rotating on-call schedule, occasional unscheduled call-outs and extended workdays and/or workweeks
  • Overtime, weekends and/or holiday hours may be required
  • Responsible for maintaining appearance and housekeeping in facilities
  • Must have the ability to respond promptly to any emergency
