Director of EHS&R (OK)

Position Summary

The Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, & Regulatory (EHS&R) will be a technical resource and a hands-on leader with corporate, engineering & operations (E&O), and construction activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field is strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of EHS & Regulatory experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Must possess leadership skills
  • Must have experience training other employees
  • Must be self-directed and able to perform duties with little or no supervision
  • Able to speak fluent English and have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Pre-employment drug screen must yield satisfactory results
  • Pre-employment background check must yield satisfactory results
  • Remain subject to random drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory compliance support and guidance to the Corporate and E&O teams
  • Provide a daily, physical EHS presence in the field in areas of operation and serve as the primary EHS resource for all employees
  • Evaluate, maintain and develop EH&S & Regulatory programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and guidelines (e.g., SPCC plans, Emergency Response Plans, etc.)
  • Report quarterly & annual Environmental and Safety reports for ESG reporting
  • Coordinate and liaison with local first responders
  • Orchestrate and conduct annual tabletop and live exercises
  • Manage Environmental and Regulatory contractors
  • Compile various required regulatory submittals and oversee compliance notifications & reporting
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet system and inventory
  • Arrange and manage Driver Safety training program
  • Manage and maintain all operational safety policies
  • Manage covered drug and alcohol testing program
  • Onboard new employees and manage PPE allotments for employees
  • Understand current regulations and track proposed regulations to identify potential impacts
  • Recommend and specify proper equipment and procedural needs to meet company goals
  • Ensure testing and calibration of all required equipment is completed as necessary
  • Complete and maintain proper records
  • Respond to emergencies during off hours, weekends and holidays
  • Participate in PSM practices and procedures
  • Create training schedules for employees, and manage implementation of online training
  • Create training materials as required and train all employees on regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in vendor onboarding processes to ensure safety & compliance requirements
  • Participate in engineering & construction planning meetings
  • Complement and support operational day-to-day activities
  • Manage various subscriptions and utilization (e.g., Veriforce, Korweb, Vector Solutions)
