Control Board Operator (OK)

Position Summary

Provide full-time Control Board Operator functions within the Iron Horse Processing Plant (located near Amber, OK).

Qualifications & Knowledge

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of natural gas processing plant operations experience
  • Knowledge of industry codes/standards, permitting and safety requirements (PSM, CFR 192, OSHA, etc.)
  • Possess technical skills providing the ability to start-up and troubleshoot facilities processes
  • Under limited supervision, performs tasks in support of operations activities
  • Knowledge of control systems including SCADA and PLC programs
  • Must possess leadership skills and can train others in the proper operation of all related equipment
  • Able to speak fluent English and have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and is subject to random drug testing
  • Must allow a pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate operating conditions for the overall safe and efficient daily operations
  • Start up, shut down and monitor facility equipment
  • Produce and complete operational records and reports as requested
  • Assist in planning and monitoring plant maintenance activities
  • Troubleshooting problems with all company assets and equipment
  • Assist in the development, tracking, and delivery of facility operational efficiency targets
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant/required regulations/programs both internally and externally
  • Day-to-day liaison with internal and external customers
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and general appearance to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
  • Recommend and specify proper equipment and procedural needs to meet company goals
  • Assist other disciplines as needed to achieve company goals
  • Utilize all required “tools” and equipment necessary to support the functions of the job
  • Oversee and advise others in their performance of daily duties
  • Lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or more
  • May be requested to work long hours to complete job assignments.
  • May work a rotating schedule, shift, and be on call.
